What’s it like to be a part of the Flock?
Togetherness is at the heart of how we operate, day-in and day-out.
- Once a month we enjoy our business-wide Townhall, where we cover all business updates, announcements and share wonderful news from our staff and consultant network, client developments, product releases and projects on the horizon. It is a wonderful way to keep the Flock up-to-date and chirping about new ideas and developments.
- We also enjoy regular virtual get-togethers every few weeks, and team socials (virtual and in-person) to stay connected and create opportunities to socialise outside of work, be that at the pub or over games and brainteasers.
- Our socials span across our main HQs in London and NYC, and cater to our hybrid ways of working, so you can expect to be involved in virtual squads where we are tackling a business or client challenge, as much as a casual (but competitive) quiz over Bird terminology or sports.
Our investment in you
Talent development is crucial to our success, and we believe that learning does not solely happen on the job or in the classroom, but through daily interactions with colleagues, clients, and partners.
- Once a year, we get together in one location as a global team for our annual ‘Away Day’ retreat, where we discuss important cultural and business topics to ensure we remain at the cutting edge of delivery excellence and our (business and personal) growth.
- Every Flocker is assigned a mentor when they start and has dedicated time to go through a tailored onboarding plan in their first few weeks.
- Thereafter you can expect regular check-ins and quarterly objectives so your development is targeted, measured and continuous throughout the year.
- For all this to work, we regularly exchange 360 feedback and have brave and open conversations with our colleagues. We also share thoughts and feedback with our leadership team through our staff survey.
We also provide a learning and wellness fund, which every staff member enjoys after passing their probation. You can spend this on development activities such as courses, conferences or professional events in line with your role, and agreed objectives.
Our hybrid working set-up helps us collaborate and further infuse agility into our ways of working. You can expect to be in the office with the team in NYC or London, once or twice a week, and travel to client sites or for social work-related events regularly to keep the Flocky spirit of collaboration regardless.
